Cleaning before modern cleaning chemicals used to be a simple affair
Back before the plethora of chemicals available for day to day cleaning, Grandma used to use just a few simple products…..
White vinegar…just a cheap supermarket own brand will do. There are many ways to use this for cleaning…two easy ones…cleaning your toilet and showe head.
Toilet
Simply fill a glass jar with white vinegar, prick a few holes in the lid and place the jar inside the water tank of your toilet. It will keep your toilet clean for weeks.
There’s an added bonus because it also helps reduce the amount of water you use in the toilet tank, in the same way a toilet hippo does
Showerhead
A way that pretty much guarantees you won’t end up with cleaner dripping down your face or water dribbling up your sleeve. You simply fill a sandwich bag with white vinegar and place your shower head in it.
Tie the bag on, making sure the whole of the area of the shower head you want clean is in the solution. Leave it in the bag overnight and in the morning you should have a nice, clean showerhead
